MANITOBA 2.5 EC

INTRODUCTION: INSECTICIDE ( IRAC CROUP 1A Carbamates): 1Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors Nerveaction {Strong evi- dence that action at this protein is responsible for insecticidal effects} Carbosulfan is a member of1-benzofurans and a carbamate ester. It has a role as an EC 3.1.1.7 (acetylcholinesterase) inhibitor, a carbamateinsecticide, an acaricide, an agrochemical and a nematicide. Carbosulfan is a synthetic 1-benzofuran compound andcarbamate acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and skin sensitizer that is used as a pesticide. It is characterized as a toxicand nonpersistent orange-yellow or brown viscous liquid, and exposure occurs by inhalation, ingestion, or contact -Carbosulfan is an organic compound adherent to the carbamate class. At normal conditions, it is brown viscous liquid. It is not very stable; it decomposes slowly at room temperature. Its solubility in water is low but it is miscible withxylene, hexane, chloroform, dichloromethane, methanol and acetone. Carbosulfan is used as an insecticide
