Fungicides
BURNABY40 EC
INTRODUCTION: FRAC GROUP 3 FUNGICIDES (multi-site contact activity) Prochloraz, is an imidazole fungicide thatwas introduced in 1978 and is widely used in Europe, Australia, Asia, and South America within gardening andagriculture to control the growth of fungi. It is not registered for use in the United States. Similarly to other azolefungicides, prochloraz is an inhibitor of the enzyme lanosterol 14a-demethylase (CYP51A1), which is necessary for theproduction of ergosterol – an essential component of the fungal cell membrane – from lanosterol. It is an aromaticether, a trichlorobenzene, a member of ureas, a member of imidazoles, an amide fungicide, a conazole fungicide andan imidazole fungicide
| ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: | PROCHLORAZ 400 g/l |
| Packing: | 1 Liter |
USAGES: The agent is a broad-spectrum, protective and curative fungicide, effective againstAlternaria spp., Botrytis spp., Erysiphe spp., Helminthosporium spp., Fusarium spp., It is used to control foliar diseasesof cereals( Pseudocerosporella spp., Pyrenophora spp., Rhynchosporium spp., and Septoria spp). Like many imidazoleand triazole fungicides and antifungal medications, prochloraz is not particularly selective in its actions. Prochloraz is anon-systemic imidazole fungicide, an ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor with contact and translaminar, protectant anderadicant activity. It is used in agriculture and horticulture against various plant diseases, especially Ascomycetes andFungi Imperfecti. field crops (such as Alternaria, Botrytis, Pyrenopeziza and Sclerotinia in oilseed rape, Ascochyta andBotrytis in legumes, Pyricularia in rice), fruit (blossom blight) and vegetables (anthracnose).
